I thought this quote was rather funny. I think it also makes a statement by taking a jab at the "artist" persona. It reminds us that not every thought is a perfect work of art, regardless of how wonderful and artistic we may see ourselves as being. Work is involved. Perhaps many of us are artistic people, but not everything that comes from us will be truly art. Things get lost in translation, especially as we learn how to paint. Keeping ourselves down to earth can help us evaluate our work with less of a bias. Keep painting with an open heart but a critical eye!
